Anse La Raye business donates PPE to preschool ahead of reopening
A local company has come forward offering a gift of protection to preschool students.
On August 5, 2020, procurement and logistics company, Caribbean Procurement Ltd, donated some personal protective equipment and supplies to the Kids Step Preschool, located in the community of Anse La Raye.
With schools scheduled to reopen in September 2020, strict protocols must be implemented to ensure safe instruction and safety of all students and teachers.
These protocols are part of precautions to prevent the potential spread of COVID-19.
On Wednesday, Regional Executive of Caribbean Procurement Ltd, Hugo Cadasse, made a donation of thermal thermometers, face mask, soap dispensers, hand sanitizer dispensers, paper towels, hand soap and hand sanitizer gel to the learning institution ahead of the reopening of school.
“We are very much delighted to make this contribution. When I got the call that the school needed supplies such as these to ensure the reopening of school in addition to the safety of teachers and students, I was elated to assist and I do hope that it goes a long way in serving its purpose,” Cadasse said.
The donation was well accepted by both teacher of the school and parent of students.
“I would like to thank QPR for this donation. For the reopening of school, we have all these protocols that need to be established and we have all these items we must get in order for us to reopen the school and considering the health and financial climate that we are in, I felt really elated by the company for this donation. I have written emails to the Parliamentary Representative and other individuals to assist in donations but nothing have been forthcoming so once again I would really like to thank the company for providing us with these items,” Principal Miss Willcina Gabriel said.
