The ruling A Partnership for National Unity+Alliance For Change (APNU+AFC) coalition in Guyana launched its 2020 Regional and General Election manifesto, today.

Today is a historic day for the coalition as it marks five years since they signed the Cummingsburg Accord that governs their union.

President David Granger said the manifesto is “a contract with the people of Guyana” and reflects the core principals of all parties that make up the coalition.

“There is always a temptation for people to over-promise because some of them know they cannot win anyway. But, we have been very realistic. We have been in Government and we have brought our experience to bear on crafting this manifesto. We will do what we promised to do,” Granger said.

He expressed confidence that the coalition will be given another term once Guyanese hear and understand what his Government plans for the future.

The party will hold a public manifesto launch at Lethem in Region 9, tomorrow.
