Cop named person of interest in killing of his wife in Castries

Kimberly de Leon, 42, was shot to death at Chef Harry Drive, Morne Fortune, Castries Monday night.

Acting Deputy Commissioner of Police Dorian O’ Brian said at a press briefing today that a police officer who was married to the victim is a person of interest in the case.

O'Brian said that police had intervened in previous domestic incidents involving the couple.

Police responded to reports of a shooting at about 10:30 pm. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.

O'Brian made assurances that the investigation would be unbiased despite the involvement of an officer as a person of interest.
