Montserrat has recorded its second case of COVID-19.
The Ministry of Health and Social Services (MoHSS) confirmed the second case on the island via a press release on Tuesday.
The Ministry said on Monday, March 23, a total of eight samples were sent to the Caribbean Public Health Agency (CARPHA) Reference Laboratory for testing.
One of these samples has returned positive, with the other seven testing negative.

At present, the patient is in isolation and is receiving treatment and supportive care. Additionally, members of the health team and the patient, are working together to trace contacts in an effort to contain the spread.
