Dee is for Digital masterclass series attracts over 1 million viewers

Businesses feeling the pressure of the global pandemic can now learn a thing or two about going digital to earn revenue.

For the past few weeks, Digicel, in conjunction with Dee is for Digital, have been conducting a series of masterclasses twice a day via Digicel St Lucia's Facebook page, focusing on topics to help businesses and individuals get online.

Dee Hutchinson, CEO of Dee is for Digital, has described the masterclass series as a success on many different levels, highlighting that they have now reached the one million views milestone.

“With COVID-19 there is a real push for businesses to get online because their stores are closed and social distancing but obviously people who are worried about their jobs or may have lost their jobs need to find alternative sources of income,” she explained.

The masterclasses provide tips on how to monetize your skills which include how to access online marketplaces and sell your skills online. The Chairperson of the Digicel Crisis Committee has also shared some tips on what Digicel is doing during the crisis that other businesses can learn from.

“This kind of educational format is really important and can help people create new streams of income and new revenue streams for businesses.”

In addition, the series highlights individuals in the Caribbean who have created innovative businesses throughout the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Dee is for Digital Masterclasses will soon be available globally in ten different languages.
