Elderly Desruisseaux man dies after chopping attack

Elias Louisy succumbed to his injuries yesterday after sustaining a chopping attack on Friday.

Police report that on Friday May 18, 2018 at about 9:00 a.m. at Desruisseaux, Micoud, Louisy (76) and his wife Muriel Louisy (73) were attacked by a cutlass wielding assailant at their home.

Both victims sustained injuries about the body as a result of the attack and were conveyed to St Jude Hospital and admitted in stable condition.

The husband succumbed to his injuries on Monday, May 21, 2018 at about 4:59 p.m.

Police say that three individuals are currently in custody in relation to the matter, as investigations continue.

This is the tenth recorded homicide in 2018.

A post-mortem examination is scheduled for today, Tuesday, May 22, 2018.
