Free TV On-The-Go for St Lucia - A Very ‘Appy Anniversary

To commemorate St. Lucia’s 40th anniversary of Independence, total communications and entertainment provider, Digicel, has made its PlayGo app free for the month of February. This provides St. Lucian nationals with access to a wealth of news and entertainment on-the-go.

Digicel customers will be able to watch more than 12 great international and local channels including NBC, ABC, CBS, NBA TV, ChoiceTV and NTN. Exclusive video content from past anniversary celebrations will also be available for free for all of February. Digicel St. Lucia’s CEO, Siobhan James-Alexander said, “It’s really a great opportunity for everyone to explore our PlayGo platform, and enjoy all the free TV they can handle! We are literally putting the history of St. Lucia’s Independence in the palm of their hands.” She added, “Documentaries like Vive St. Lucie, St. Lucia at 9 and St. Lucia: Helen of the West, all make me feel proud to be a St. Lucian.”

The offer is open to all prepaid and postpaid Digicel customers and includes unlimited data to stream the content anytime, anywhere. “It’s simple! All our customers need to do is download the PlayGo app and follow the onscreen prompts. Dial *140# and then under the Entertainment Category, click to activate the Free PlayGo 7-day plan. When it expires, simply reactivate it for free, again…and again…all throughout the month of February;” said the CEO.

Principal Information Officer of the Government Information Service, Davina Lee, said: “The Government Information Service is pleased that Digicel has provided another avenue for broadcast of our channel NTN. We understand that the way viewers consume television is changing and PlayGo has enabled us to evolve with the change in viewing habits. During the Independence period with PlayGo we are giving a peek into our archives with past celebrations, carnival parades, calypso competitions and queen shows. NTN also streams 24/7 on the platform, so we invite viewers to tune in at any time!”
