Healthcare services suspended at Vieux Fort center to facilitate move
Created : 30 October 2019
Retrofitting works at the Vieux Fort Wellness Center are now complete and services will re-commence on Monday, November 4, 2019.
As a result, healthcare services at the temporary location (the Boriel Building on the corner of Clarke and Martin Luther King streets) will be suspended for two days—Thursday, October 30 and Friday, November 1—to facilitate the move back to the original site.
The wellness center was closed for retrofitting under the SMART Health Facilities project since December of 2018. The project aims to make health facilities safer, greener and more sustainable.
The Department of Health and Wellness wishes to thank the general public, especially those from the affected areas, for their continued cooperation and apologizes for any inconvenience caused.
