West Indies all-rounder Jason Holder (left) has been called up to play for the Sunrisers Hyderbad in the Indian Premier League.

West Indies captain Jason Holder has been drafted in by the Sunrisers Hyderabad to replace Mitchell Marsh, who is out of the 2020 tournament due to injury.

Marsh suffered an ankle injury during the Sunrisers loss to the Royal Challengers Bangalore on September 21.

Holder played for the Sunrisers in 2014/15, and has also played for the Chennai Super Kings and the Kolkata Knight Riders.

Holder went unsold at the December 2019 IPL auction, despite a base price of approximately US$100,000.

The West Indies Test captain scored 192 runs at a strike rate of 140.14 and took 10 wickets at 6.63 during the recently concluded Hero Caribbean Premier League as skipper of the Barbados Tridents.

Holder will now undergo a six-day quarantine and must clear the testing procedure before he can join the Sunrisers camp.
