A Jamaican is reportedly numbered among five men who escaped from a detention centre in Trinidad late on Thursday.

A massive manhunt is now on for the escapees, including the Jamaican, who broke free from the Immigration Detention Centre at Wallerfield in Arima.

Those reported missing from the facility are Krishna Bailey, a 22-year-old Jamaican national; Ryan Badal, a 23-year-old Guyanese national; and three Venezuelan nationals ranging in age from 27 to 32 years.

The men were reportedly last seen at about 3:00 p.m.

Their escape is believed to have occurred just before 11:00 p.m.

The breakout has drawn the input of the various arms of the Trinidad and Tobago police service in the hunt to recapture the escapees.
