New regional sports channel to host English Premier League
Manchester City celebrate their English Premier League title last season.
Caribbean Premier Sports Limited (CPSL), the exclusive broadcast rights holder of the English Premier League for the Caribbean for the 2019/20 to 2021/22 seasons, has launched a new television channel that it says will deliver a superior viewing experience to fans across the region.
The RUSH channel goes live in July and will be made available to all cable/IPTV providers in the region, CPSL said in a news release on Friday.
Under the banner “KEEP BELIEVING”, RUSH will provide 24/7 coverage of the English Premier League including LIVE matches from across the league, the release added, noting that football fans will also experience quality coverage of all Premier League teams including the Top 6 – Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool, Manchester City, Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur.
General Manager of CPSL Dominic Beaubrun said, “RUSH is definitely a must-have for all football fans as it will deliver 24/7 programming, team highlights, special studio and magazine programmes from all Premier League matches featuring world-class commentary with analysis from the likes of Peter Drury, Martin Tyler and Mark Lawrenson. Fans can also look forward to Premier League programme favorites like Matchday LIVE, Premier League Today and Fanzone as well as new programmes such as Fantasy Premier League, Matchday Live Extra and Weekend Warm Up.”
Coverage comes with the latest in digital production standards, offering up to 26 HD cameras per game.
CPSL is a St Lucia-based joint venture between C&W Communications (C&W) and Digicel that brings together the best of their sports broadcasting capabilities to deliver world-class sports programming and viewership experiences to fans across the region. CPSL is owned equally by C&W and Digicel.
