PM congratulates Top Common Entrance Students
"Today was no doubt an emotional day for anxious students, parents and guardians around Saint Lucia as the results of the Common Entrance Examinations were announced. To all those who excelled at the exams, hats off to you on your momentous achievement! You have worked hard and are now ready to take on even bigger challenges.
A special congratulations to our island’s top achiever, Rhea Barrett of the Camille Henry Memorial School’s who scored an impressive 98.33 percent.
I was especially happy at the news that the second place achiever was 12-year-old Vianna Flavius of the Desruisseaux Combined School, with a score of 97 percent! As the Parliamentary Representative I am so proud of you and so is your community.
To all the other students who have received top ranking at this year’s exam take a bow! You have done your teachers and school proud.
Congratulations also to all students who sat these examinations and have received places in secondary schools. This one exam does not define you and you must keep striving.
It is our hope that today’s success is to be the beginning of tomorrow’s achievements. Congratulations once again!"
