Relatives and friends of Vernand 'Kilibwie' Emmanuel says the deceased did not appear to be his normal self when they last saw him on Friday.
Emmanuel's body was discovered at the Cul De Sac Bay at approximately 8am on Saturday, September 26.
He was a resident of Ciceron and was known through the community as 'Mahjorh'.
"I last saw him on Friday morning and he was not looking himself," one relative who spoke to Loop News said.
"I also spoke to a few people down the road who said the same thing, everybody said he was not looking himself...his normal, 'Mahjorh' self. He was very weak looking and a bit slow, slower than normal," the relative said.
According to a grieving relative, it was strange not seeing Emmanuel on Saturday morning, as he usually comes religiously for breakfast.
Vernand Emmanuel's body was one of two which was found between the Ciceron Beach and the Cul De Sac Bay.
On Friday, September 25, the Marine Unit fished the body of Laurena Daniel of Ti Rocher, Castries from the Ciceron Beach.
Investigations into the two incidents are ongoing.
