Bullet still lodged in Monchy shooting victim as his family speaks out

Relatives of a 31-year-old resident of Malgretoute Monchy said Tuesday they are puzzled as to why someone would want to harm their loved one.

Gunmen opened fire on Bradley David while he was entering his home around 8.30 pm Monday, December 9, 2019.

"He's a coward and does not get involved in trouble," one relative said.

Other relatives and residents, who spoke on condition of anonymity, said they recalled hearing the sound of six to seven gunshots fired.

Another recalled hearing the sound of gunfire earlier in the day around noon.

David sustained at least one gunshot to his thigh, before narrowly escaping through a garden near his residence.

According to relatives, the bullet is still lodged in his body and has to undergo a CT scan at the Tapion Hospital.

The bullet they say is travelling through David's body and could be fatal.

No arrests have been made and the incident is being investigated by the police.
