St Lucia Staycation & Caribcation deals offer big discounts

Castries – August 6, 2019 – Hotel properties and other tourist attractions on the island have opened their doors to residents for another massive summer of specials, with the Saint Lucia Tourism Authority’s (SLTA) annual Staycation promotion that runs until September 30, 2019.

Signaling continued confidence in the annual summer promotion, 39 industry partners have signed on to offer the finest dining experiences, tours and attractions and world-class accommodations for as low as US$75.00 per night, to local residents.

CARICOM nationals are also invited to be a part of Saint Lucia’s sizzling summer with attractive Caribcation Deals. Caribcation is an online marketing tool which showcases the island’s tourism product, with packages designed specifically for Caribbean nationals.  Visitors now can play and stay at world-renowned hotels and resorts at highly discounted rates of up to 65% year-round.

Marketing Manager with responsibility for Caribbean and Events, Christopher Gustave said, “The Caribbean market plays a huge part in the island’s tourism success, accounting for roughly 20% of total visitor arrivals. With Saint Lucia Roots & Soul slated for August 23-25, now is the ideal time for Caribbean visitors to secure the perfect accommodation at the best rates.”

In 2018, the destination welcomed 77,548 visitors from the Caribbean, which reflected a 1.6% increase over the previous year.  The SLTA, therefore, hopes to encourage continued growth in arrivals from the Caribbean through its Caribcation program.

Small and large properties, from the north to the south, are participating in this year’s Staycation and Caribcation programs.  Individuals must, however, present proof of nationality, to participate in the promotions.
