Staff at St Jude Hospital sign petition to remove 'uncouth' manager
The relationship between a member of staff in a management position at the St Jude Hospital with other members of staff is affecting the morale of many at the health institution.
According to the demotivated staff, who are complaining in hushed tones for fear of being victimized, their relationship with the person in question is of grave concern to them.
The situation, which is now close to a boiling point, has resulted in a number of staff members signing a petition to remove the person in question, who they described as “uncouth,” out of their current position. The petition will be sent to their bargaining body, the National Workers Union (NWU).
The demotivated staff is now calling on the Minister of Health, Hon Mary Isaac to intervene in the matter before it spirals out of control.
“The (person) does not know how to deal with people," a staff member, who spoke with Loop News on condition of anonymity, fumed while adding that they create problems instead of solving them.
Another staff member said there is too much politics at the hospital, adding that the “uncouth staff” is behaving like the hospital is their home.
Over the years, there have been a number of changes in the management structure of the hospital, which has not improved the morale of the staff.
