Trini family found dead in vehicle

For the second time this month, a family has been found dead in a vehicle, this time in South Trinidad. 

According to reports, the three victims, two women and one man, have been identified as George Quin­tero, his wife Carmeli­ta Gar­cia-Quin­tero, and their daugh­ter Marisol.

The victims were found around 7:00 am Monday morning in a red van; there appeared to be bullet holes in the windscreen. 

The vehicle was parked along the southbound lane of the highway in the vicinity the Golconda turnoff.

Investigations are continuing.

Earlier this month, the community of Toco was shocked after father Barry Choon, wife Shalini Sookdeo-Choon, and their two children, seven-year-old Akeila, and seven-month-old Jacob were found dead in a vehicle in the area. The family lived in Second Street, California.

An autopsy report on Choon's cause of death was inconclusive as investigators were unable to say whether Choon's death was self-inflicted or involved foul play. The family was cremated on April 17, 2019.

The bodies of three persons were found in a car off the Sir Solomon Hochoy Highway.

The identities of the deceased have yet to be confirmed, however, LoopTT was told that the victims are a man and two women.

The bodies were found around 7:00 am Monday in a red van which had what appeared to be bullet holes on the windscreen.

The vehicle was parked along the southbound lane of the highway in the vicinity the Golconda turnoff.

Police are currently on location.
