Vision Catering's delectable desserts - More than just cakes

Beautifully sculpted cakes, rich cheesecake bites, and delightful sweet breads are just a few of the mouth-watering options Vision Catering has to offer potential customers.
Their delectable desserts are not only showstoppers in terms of looks, but they are also delicious and will have your guests coming back for more. With their addictive sugary bites, Vision Catering can take any event from ‘okay’ to ‘amazing’ in just one bite.
With decadent and tasteful desserts being one of the few ways to my heart, Vision Catering has surely won me over with their sweet courses. Before I get into how amazing her desserts are, let’s get to know a little about the woman behind those heavenly treats.
Her name is Bertha Paul and she is originally from Soufriere. She is a Food and Nutrition teacher by profession, but baking was never her forte. She was more into culinary arts and savory dishes. However, as a Food and Nutrition teacher, she was given the mandate of teaching her students creative ways to make cakes as part of their CXC SBAs. Through extensive research, watching Youtube tutorials and continuously practicing, Bertha discovered that she was an excellent baker, which fueled her passion for baking resulting in the birth of Vision Catering in April 2019.
Vision Catering is a part-time venture which operates from Morne Fortune, Castries. They provide catering of cakes, desserts, and savory dishes for all occasions. Above all, they specialize in cheesecakes and may I add, some of the tastiest cheesecakes that have ever reached my palate.
The passionfruit cheesecake was the ‘crème de la creme’. The cake was a perfect balance of creamy sweetness combined with the slight tartness of the passionfruit. The rum and raisin cheesecake was nothing short of delicious with a hint of alcohol. Other flavors that are available are lemon curd, cherry, lime curd, strawberry and blueberry (sauces are made from scratch using fresh fruits) and chocolate ganache.

In the wake of COVID-19, Vision Catering has extended their baking services to include bread and pastry making. Their bread is non-traditional, super moist and yummy. According to Bertha, this new service has kept her busy throughout the pandemic: “We have never stopped baking.” Coconut and banana are among the main types of bread that they provide. Bertha plans to expand into a pastry shop/bakery soon and encourages all aspiring bakers to never give up on their dreams.
“If there is something that you really want to pursue, you go for it nothing can stop you. COVID has taught me to keep pushing. There may be stumbling blocks but with the help of God, you will persevere. If you put your mind to do it, if you’re a go getter, you will get it done.”
