Barbados has 18 confirmed COVID-19 cases, remains Stage 2

Barbados records one more COVID-positive patient.

Sixteen persons were tested for COVID-19 yesterday (March 23).

According to the Ministry of Health and Wellness statement, the tests were conducted by the Best-dos Santos Public Health Laboratory yesterday and results issued today.

The newest patient is a 36-year-old man who lives in Barbados.

Investigations are on-going.

Contact tracing, with regard to this newly-diagnosed case, has begun to identify all those with whom he would have been in close contact.

However, Dr Anton Best has confirmed that at this time, Barbados remains at Stage 2 in its COVID-19 response.
