Corinth man charged with illegal gun, ammo released on bail
A Corinth, Gros Islet resident has been released on bail after being charged for illegal possession of a firearm, ammunition and escaping lawful custody.
Ron Williams was released on $50,000 bail on Thursday, June 4, 2020, three months after being arrested.
According to a police report, Williams attempted to enter a night club in Rodney Bay with a firearm on February 22, 2020, at about 2 am.
He was stopped by an officer, resisted arrest and escaped.
He was rearrested on February 25, 2020.
At his first court appearance in February, Williams was charged with possession of a 9mm handgun and 16 rounds of ammunition, resisting arrest and escaping lawful custody.
He was remanded at the Bordelais Correctional Facility.
His next court appearance is expected to be on June 10, 2020.
