Digicel helping customers stay connected during COVID-19

Telecommunications giant Digicel is making it easy for customers to stay connected during the COVID-19 pandemic.

According to Regional Marketing Manager, Jamisha Wright, the company understands that connectivity is essential and as a result, they have made a number of options available to their customers to stay connected with their loved ones despite the closure of a number of businesses, which usually serve as customers’ TopUp outlets.

“It is not business as usual but we understand the importance of connectivity during this time and we’re doing everything possible to ensure that our customers understand that even though the shops in your community are closed, you still have the option to top up your Digicel phone or even pay your bill," said Wright.

For top ups, customers can utilize the My Digicel App, various Digicel payphones on island or Republic Bank ATMs and app and the Digicel website, www.digicelgroup.com.

Customers who receive top ups from friends and family abroad will receive double the amount.

Bill payments, plan activations, requesting and sending credit and general inquiries can also be made via the MyDigicel app. The Digicel app is user-friendly and if customers are not comfortable using it to activate a plan, they have the option of getting that done via Digicel social media pages, namely Instagram or Facebook.

Customers can also utilize Surepay at any Massy Supermarket for bill payments.

Digicel will be providing the latest updates on COVID-19 via their website and social media pages and educational information on various subjects will be available to kids to keep their brains active throughout the shutdown period. The company is encouraging the public to adhere to Government advisories during this time.
