England were frustrated by the weather Saturday's third day of the second Test against West Indies was delayed by rain at Emirates Old Trafford.

With England looking to square the three-match series 1-1, morning drizzle turned heavier before the scheduled start time of 11:00 and rain is forecast for the rest of the day.

West Indies are scheduled to resume on 32-1, with Kraigg Brathwaite six not out and nightwatchman Alzarri Joseph 14 not out, in reply to England's first-innings 469-9 declared.

If West Indies win one of the remaining two Tests of this campaign -- both being staged in Manchester -- they will secure their first series victory in England for 32 years.
