An early morning fire burned through the roof and offices of Massy Stores Supermarket, Waterfront in the wee hours of Sunday October 25.

According to Acting Deputy Fire Chief David Antoine, the Saint Lucia Fire Service received a call from a security guard at the Castries Car Park informing of smoke emanating from the supermarket which is located on the ground floor.

"The fire originated in the cashier area and was able to destroy two small offices, one being a server room and the other a change room for them. The ceiling was also damaged," Antoine said.
