Fatal road accidents at 15 for 2020 after motorcycle crash

Police have identified the person who was killed in a crash involving a motorcycle and an SUV along the Millennium Highway.
The victim has been identified as 29-year-old Quain Montoute of Leslie Land, Castries.
The incident occured at about 4:30pm, September 7, 2020.
According to reports, Montoute was riding a Honda motorcycle, registration number PJ9277 traveling northbound when he lost control and collided with a Daihatsu Terios, registration number PD1616, travelling in the opposite direction.
The bike and the rider sustained severe damages.
Montoute sustained a fracture to his left lower limb, multiple deep skull lacerations upon impact and lacerations to the right side of his body.
He was later pronounced dead after being transported to the Owen King EU Hospital.
The driver of the SUV was not injured, however, the vehicle sustained damage to the right fender, right doors and the right front wheel and rim.
This brings the number of road fatalities islandwide for 2020 to to 15.
