Just hours ago on Instagram, Caribbean Airlines (CAL) declared that they will be facilitating a special flight from Piarco Piarco International Airport, Trinidad to Barbados this week.

However, it appears to be a prerequisite that any passenger be tested within 72 hours of departure and possess a negative PCR test for COVID-19 in order to make the trip and enter Barbados. The airline advises that passengers will be denied boarding without this test.

The flight is scheduled for September 11, 2020.

On Instagram, CAL wrote:

"Special flight from Trinidad to Barbados on Friday 11th September, 2020. Book now via our Call Centre or any City Ticket Office in Trinidad and Tobago.

In a release, CAL said it is working with the Trinidad and Tobago Ministry of National Security to put on the flight. Trinidad and Tobago's borders remain closed at this time to commercial travel.

From Barbados, passengers can also make onward connections to other destinations.

The flight will depart from Piarco International Airport at 1:30 pm.

An economy class ticket costs $300 USD plus taxes, while a business class ticket costs $420 USD plus taxes.

Interested parties should contact their respective County Medical Officers of Health for details on how to get tested.

Persons interested in traveling on this specially approved flight to Barbados can contact the Caribbean Airlines Sales and Service Centre at 625-7200.
