St Kitts and Nevis Patriots have been knocked out of the 2020 Hero Caribbean Premier League after heavy rains forced a no-result in their match against the Jamaica Tallawahs on Thursday morning.

The Patriots, after being put into bat, raced to 46/0 after 5.4 overs with Chris Lynn on 23 not out and Evin Lewis undefeated on 21.

However, heavy rainfall at the Tarouba venue forced the players off the field and play never resumed before the 1:15pm cut-off time.

The result left the Patriots on three points from nine games, with no opportunity to get into the top four.

The Tallawahs, meanwhile, are in fourth place on seven points from eight games, three points ahead of fifth-placed Barbados Tridents.

The defending champions Tridents play the Guyana Amazon Warriors at 5:30pm, needing a victory to prevent elimination.

Summarized scores: St Kitts and Nevis Patriots 46 for 0 (Lynn 23*, Lewis 21*) v Jamaica Tallawahs
