Soufriere police are currently investigating an incident where just over $150,000 has been missing from a well-established supermarket in Soufriere.

According to a police source, the scheme is believed to have started about mid last year.

Four employees of the business establishment in question were held for questioning earlier this week but were later released pending further investigation. Among them are those with over 10 years of service with the establishment.

Loop News could not ascertain whether they are still on their jobs.

The situation has created a tense atmosphere at the business establishment, as its owners have shown determination to get to the bottom of the matter.

The incident is now the talk of the town, as residents are putting pieces together to form their own opinions about the matter.
