What is it like being in the public eye?

To be honest, it takes some readjustment because initially, it felt really awkward. I say this because it took some time getting used to being stared at when I walk the streets and at first it felt a bit uncomfortable getting that sort of attention (I was really shy about it). However, I have learned to read the cues from people’s body language so I can easily tell when someone recognizes me now and so I usually break the ice first and warm up with a quick conversation.

What is the one thing about you that often surprises people?

Funny enough I’d say how I look. Most viewers who meet me in person usually stop and say things like “You look so different in person” or more commonly “Aa, but you look bigger on the TV” and they’re almost always referring to my size haha! Second to that would be how warm, friendly and down to earth I am.

How would you define success?

I think success is a personal measure. We often get caught up in comparison and competition, but I’d like to think that I am my only competition. So, if I set out some goals and I go out and start killing it, then that is success and then I just repeat it, set some new goals, and go for it!

What has been your most humbling experience?

I will keep this one in the TV realm. By far what has humbled me the most in this current field is realizing the impact I can make through my morning show. Quite often viewers have stopped me just to express how much they enjoy the content and also how it helps them start their day off feeling light and happy. Many have also expressed how it helps to lift their mood. Knowing that I am able to spread some good vibrations every morning really humbles me and keeps me doing what I do.

If you could be remembered for one thing what would it be?

Truly living and enjoying life. Joie de vivre!!

Where is your happy place?

Hands down at the beach or somewhere totally emersed in nature far away from all the modern chaos. I find so much joy in simplicity!

What is your greatest fear?

I think by far my biggest fear is not being a good enough mom.

Animals or babies?

Ha! Well, that is an easy one! Most definitely animals especially with all the craziness happening right now animals all the way.

What talent do you yearn for?

I would totally love to play the acoustic guitar.

What lesson has been the hardest to learn?

This year has presented many unique challenges and one of the hardest has been learning to let go of the reigns of control and also not allowing what others say about you to keep you down.

TV or music?

Music is my escape and healing but thanks to technology I suppose I can easily say both since I can watch and enjoy music on television!

What food makes you happy?

I know it’s not exactly food but my boss Linda’s cocoa tea always hits the right spot!

What is your guilty pleasure?

Currently, that would be getting home after a long day and cozying up in bed with a malt and my favorite snacks, usually cookies, and binge watch Anime.

If you had to change one thing in your life what would it be and why?

My car parts ha-ha long overdue ha-ha but on a serious note though, there are several things I could think of but I honestly know that I would not be who I am right now if I had to remove or erase certain aspects thus far on my journey.

What is the business tip you have got and never forgotten?

That would be to remain humble in this field.

Is it more important to be liked or respected?

RESPECTED!! Substance over hype all the time.

What is your personal motto?

“PurpleHaze 4 Dayz As Alwayz”
It means that each and every day, give thanks for life and YOU make sure that you show up and let yourself be the amazing and dynamic being you were created to be! Be true to YOU, we all owe it to ourselves. Sending you all some PurpleHazing positive vibrations. Bless!
