Lance Alphonse alongside one of his delicious burgers
A big part of being a foodie is knowing where one can find the best restaurants.
If you are one of those who confess to a weakness for burgers, then LA Burger Joint should definitely be on your bucket list.
22-year-old Lance Alphonse, a resident of Bagatelle, Castries has totally knocked it out of the park with his new burger joint.
It is of little surprise that everyone has been buzzing about this food haven. Established only 9 months ago, LA Burger Joint has tantalized the taste buds of many St Lucians with their abundantly juicy burgers.
The burgers are exquisite! They are more than just salt, pepper, onions or some Bohio seasoning but an explosion of flavors in your mouth.
Anyone who can make a burger that is this good, clearly knows what they’re doing.
The menu is packed with a variety of soul-satisfying foods including wraps, tacos, wings, quesadillas, Alfredo pastas which customers describe as “extremely filling” and “finger-licking”.
This is not your typical burger joint; the food is freshly prepared right in front of you and to top it all, the prices are reasonable, and delivery is available.
You are probably wondering how such a young man has mastered the art of making burgers. Well, his love for Food and Nutrition at school was the driving force to start a cooking career.
Surprisingly, his journey did not begin in the kitchen but as a security officer. As luck would have it, he received an opportunity to work as a steward and then got promoted where he shadowed other chefs that he worked with.
He perfected his craft by trial and error, watching Youtube videos.
According to Alphonse, he started his business to prove that there is no age limit to becoming an entrepreneur.
LA Burger Joint currently employs three young St Lucians and has received massive support, particularly from the youth.
The entrepreneur says while the COVID-19 pandemic has slowed down business, he is confident that everything will realign itself.
He says that in order to become a successful entrepreneur, one must be consistent and never give up.
